The Wild Reset

An Autumn Day Retreat with Amelia the No BS Herbalist

Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 10 AM–6 PM | Woodstock, Connecticut

Eight hours. No errands. No obligations. No staring at a screen while you try to remember the last time you actually felt relaxed.

Just give me one day.

Come spend an autumn day with me on a beautiful private property in Woodstock, Connecticut, surrounded by woods, fresh air, good food, medicinal plants, and a small group of people who could use a reset just as much as you.

This isn't an herbal class where you're going to sit in a chair taking notes all day.

It's an experience.

We're going to wander through the property and see what October has growing for us. We'll harvest plants and make herbal medicine together. We'll slow down in the woods with a guided forest bathing experience, move our bodies with yoga, learn how to make a really good herbal mocktail, and settle into a sound healing session.

And somewhere in the middle of all of that, I'm going to feed you.

Sometimes the best medicine isn't another supplement.

It's getting outside.

It's moving your body.

It's eating real food.

It's laughing with other people.

It's putting your hands on plants and remembering that you are actually part of the natural world—not something separate from it.

And sometimes it's simply giving yourself permission to stop doing everything for everybody else for one damn day.

That's what The Wild Reset is about.

What We'll Do

Over the course of the day, you'll experience:

Foraging
We'll explore the property together and see what's available in early October. I'll teach you how to confidently identify some of the wild foods and medicinal plants growing around us, how I use them, and what you need to know before harvesting them yourself.

Herbal Medicine Making
We'll take some of what nature gives us and turn it into something useful. You'll get hands-on experience making herbal medicine and something you've made yourself to bring home.

Forest Bathing
No, you don't have to hug a tree. Unless you want to.

This is about deliberately slowing down, getting out of your head, engaging your senses, and allowing your nervous system to experience what happens when you stop bombarding it with noise for a little while.

Yoga
We'll move, stretch, breathe, and reconnect with our bodies. You don't need to be "good at yoga." This isn't about performing. It's about feeling good.

Herbal Mocktail Class
Alcohol-Free Life Coach Layne Whitley will show you how to make beautiful herbal drinks that aren't just alcohol-free substitutes. Herbs, interesting flavors, fresh ingredients—and something you'll actually be excited to drink.

Sound Healing
We'll finish with an opportunity to lie down, stop doing, and simply receive. Let the sound wash over you and give your brain and body a chance to be still.

Look where we will be...

And Yes, I'm Feeding You.

One freshly prepared meal is included with your retreat.

Because feeding people good food is part of taking care of them, too.

This Is Not About Becoming a Different Person.

I don't think most of us need to add one more thing to our list of ways we're supposed to improve ourselves.

Sometimes we need to get away from the constant input long enough to hear ourselves think again.

To walk through the woods.

To smell something simmering in a pot.

To make something with our hands.

You might leave knowing a few more plants and a new way to make herbal medicine.

But more than anything, I want you to leave feeling different than you did when you arrived.

A little more connected to yourself.

And maybe a little more alive.

You spend an awful lot of your life taking care of things.

Your work. Your house. Your family. Your health. Your never-ending list of things that apparently need your attention RIGHT NOW.

On October 3rd, I'm inviting you to put the list down.

Come wander through the woods with me.

We'll find wild plants. We'll make medicine. We'll eat something delicious. We'll move our bodies, make herbal drinks, breathe fresh air, listen to beautiful sounds, and spend an entire day doing things that make us feel good instead of things we're obligated to do.

It's only one day.

But it might be exactly the day you need.
